Welcome to the Performing Arts Center of Temple Terrace/Temple Terrace Ballet! Please take note of the following information:
CLASS ATTIRE
Basic Attire for all classes is required to provide uniformity for the classes as well as to serve as a foundation for recital costuming.
***THE ATTIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR BALLET SERVE AS THE BASIC ATTIRE FOR ALL CLASSES.
Ballet
Girls:
Pre-Ballet students should wear any pink leotard (without attached skirt or shorts), pink tights, and pink canvas or leather ballet shoes. Hair should be in a bun and students should not wear any loose jewelry (stud earrings are okay).
Ballet Level I and up should wear any black leotard (with no attached skirt or shorts), pink tights and pink canvas or leather ballet shoes. Hair should be in a bun and students should not wear any loose jewelry (stud earrings are okay).
Boys:
Ballet Boys should wear a white T-Shirt or leotard, dance belt (dance underwear for older boys), black men's tights or leggings, white socks and black Ballet shoes. Dance pants or company warm-up pants may also be worn.
Acro and Modern
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard).
Students should wear footless or convertible tights so they can dance bare foot.
Modern students should also have black, footless leggings (thick tights).
Jazz
Girls:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard); black dance shorts; matte black jazz shoes.
Boys:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard); matte black jazz shoes.
Contemporary Lyrical
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard).
Black, footless leggings (thick tights).
Contemporary/Lyrical Half-Sole shoes in the color that best matches the student's skin tone.
Hip Hop
Girls:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard); black dance cargo pant; black dance sneakers. True 'Dance Sneakers' with a flexible arch and a toe 'box' for toe stands are preferred. Chuck Taylor style Converse 'All Star' sneaker, black with white trim, or similar 'knick-off' brand are acceptable. Consult the instructor for acceptable dance sneaker types. (All dance shoes, including sneakers, should not be worn outside the dance studio or theater).
Boys:

glossy Tap shoes are fine as they tend to be Velcro.
Tap
Girls:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard) black dance shorts; matte black tap shoes (low heel, straps).
Boys:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard).; matte black tap shoes (lace up).
Musical Theatre
Girls:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard); black dance shorts; matte black jazz shoes.
Boys:
Basic Attire required (Tights and Leotard); matte black jazz shoes.
We recommend purchasing your basic dance attire at 'On Your Toes', conveniently located at 5403 E Fowler Ave. for uniformity and to ensure you are getting quality dance products. Please tell them you are with Temple Terrace Ballet to receive a student discount.
